April 28, 2023: The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) is likely to begin recruitment process for 3055 posts in next couple of months for different government departments, advertisements for which is likely to be issued next month.
Moreover, the UPPSC has already issued advertisement for recruitment on 5103 posts till March 31, 2023, selection process for which is presently underway. This will make the Commission make recruitments on at least 8158 posts during one year. Also many other advertisements, informed sources, would also be released post June this year which in all likelihood would make the count of posts on which recruitments would be made this year reach the 10,000 mark.
A look at the Commission’s working in 2022 also revealed satisfactory achievements. From April 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023, the commission issued advertisement for recruitment on a total of 13,110 posts, which it managed to complete the selection process for 12,236 posts. These include recruitment through written examinations as-well-as direct recruitment. The Commission had included 21 examinations in 2022-23 calendar year and conducted 22 examinations. Further, apart from the calendar, an additional examination was also conducted and recruitment process for 10 out of 22 exams has been completed so far. Along with this, the Commission also conducted interviews for 12,655 candidates in one year. Similarly, 2438 officers were also promoted against 3668 through DPC in various government departments.
One Time Registration mandatory for advertisements issued after April 1
UPPSC has made One Time Registration (OTR) mandatory for advertisements issued after April 1. In such a situation, if a candidate desires to apply for any exam, he or she will have to get OTR done first. If the candidate has not completed the OTR formality, the online application form window on website would not open. Application form can be opened only after entering the OTR number. Under the new OTR system, till now 378632 candidates have been registered, out of which 192958 candidates have been issued OTR numbers so far.
Commission acts against 198 employees and officers, honours nine employees
The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has taken action against 198 employees and officers in one year. Of these, disciplinary action was initiated against 149 staff, while fine was levied against 145 . Also four of its staff has been dismissed from service.
Further nine employees of Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission were honored in the conference of Public Service Commissions of all the states organized in Lucknow recently.
