Now UP Board students to learn cyber security, making drones

May 10, 2023: The secondary schools run by Madhyamk Shiksha Parishad in state have upgraded its Computer syllabus. Now students of class IX would learn to make drones. Besides they would also be taught elementary knowledge about cyber security. As per sources, the UP Board has made major changes in its syllabus of Computer subject for classes 9th to 12th. Also new subjects have been included in the syllabus according to the present need. Students would now be taught basics of robotics, cyber security and artificial intelligence.

Sources further informed that topics including types of communication, internet and logic gates have been removed from the syllabus of class 9th and 10th and have been replaced by Linux Operating System, Linux Office, Computer Language and Pointer, Artificial Intelligence, Drone Technology, E-Commerce, Python.

Further, emerging technology has been included in the 11th class syllabus under which, Block Chain Technology, Digital Crypto Currency, Introduction of Augmented and Virtual Reality, 3D Printing and Cloud Computing have been included. In the Computer subject syllabus of class 12th, in place of C plus, HTML, program coding, Python and Java programming have been included by the board.

The Java Programming covered topics like Introduction to Core Java Language, Introduction to Advanced Java Language, Artificial Intelligence, Introduction to Drone Technology, Introduction to Robotics, Cyber Security etc. As per teachers of Computer subject the new syllabus had been prepared according to present day need which would help students to work well in the field of Information and Technology in coming times.
