CM expected to visit Sangam city on April 30, canvass for party candidates

April 27, 2023: In the first phase of the FORTHCOMING Civic Body elections, polling would be held in Sangam city on May 4. All political parties including the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has also pulled up its socks to garner maximum votes for its mayoral candidate Ganesh Kesarwani as-well-as its candidates for the post of corporator in all 80 wards of the city. Senior leaders of the party are scheduled to address public meetings in Prayagraj in coming days besides the public relations campaign is also in full swing. As per reports, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is slated to visit Prayagraj to canvass for party candidates,. The Sangam city has been in news off-late owing to the government’s action against mafia Atiq Ahmed and Ashraf which could prove as a major plank for party’s victory in coming Nagar Nigam elections.

Civic polls to hover around government’s action to establish fear free society

In order to end the terror of Mafia Raj, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took effective action against mafias and criminals across the state, owing to which peace and tranquility was established in state. Awadhesh Gupta, convenor of BJP municipal elections, maintained that action of Yogi government, which paved way for a fear-free society by ending the terror of Atiq Ahmed in Prayagraj for four decades, would be the biggest issue in civic elections this time.
After the murder of advocate Umesh Pal and his two gunners, the whole country witnessed stern action initiated by state government for bringing an to Atiq Ahmed’s 44 years of terror in just 48 days. Besides attacking mafia in state, the Yogi government has also contributed significantly in infrastructure development of Kumbh Nagri Prayagraj, which includes development works worth Rs 1220 crore under the Smart City Mission alone.

CM’s public meeting to give victory mantra

In the first phase of the municipal elections, voting would to be held in Prayagraj on May 4. In Municipal Corporation polls of Prayagraj, last time also BJP’s mayoral candidate Abhilasha Gupta won the elections while this time also the wind seems to be blowing in favour of BJP. This time, BJP candidates are contesting on all the wards, while the party has given ticket to Umesh Chandra Ganesh Kesharwani, a common party worker, for the post of mayor.

According to Awadhesh Gupta, convenor of BJP civic body elections, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will ensure victory for the party candidates from the banks of Sangam at Parade Ground in city. According to Awadhesh Gupta, presently the tentative date of arrival of CM Yogi Adityanath in city is April 30.
