Retaliating to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remarks on Congress in Rajya Sabha on Wednesday, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge said that NDA meant ‘No Data Available’. Lashing out at the Prime Minister, Kharge maintained that latter’s job was to lie as he would not talk on issues, instead would only focus on criticizing the Congress.

During the discussion on the President’s address, Prime Minister Narendra Modi fiercely attacked the Congress. He made serious allegations against the party of dividing the country. Meanwhile, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge accused PM Modi of spreading misinformation against Congress and UPA. He said that his entire speech in the Rajya Sabha was focused only on criticizing the Congress and he did not consider it necessary to talk about issues faced by the country. Unemployment, price rise and economic inequality were at their peak in the country. Taking a dig at PM Modi, he said that those who do not trust the Constitution, were raising questions on patriotism of Congress.

Only criticizing Congress instead of speaking on important issues – Kharge

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said that in his speech in both the Houses, the PM targeted only the Congress. He has been at the Center for the last 10 years, but instead of talking about it, he (Modi) thought it better to criticize the Congress Party.
In the House, neither did he talk on issues related to public opinion nor on inflation and unemployment. The government neither has employment data, nor does it have any health survey data. The reason for this is that the government hides all the data and spreads lies. Modi’s guarantee is only for spreading lies. He spreads fabricated lies about the UPA government in both the houses.

Prime Minister Modi is just spreading lies about UPA – Kharge

Attacking the Central government and the PM, the Congress president further stated that unemployment rate during the UPA regime was 2.2 percent but the same had reached its highest level in past 45 years. Kharge said that the average GDP growth rate during 10 years of UPA rule was 8.13 percent which during the tenure of present government had dropped to only 5.6 percent. Attacking PM Modi, he said according to World Bank, India had become third largest economy in the world in 2011 itself. During the UPA tenure, 14 crore people were brought out of poverty which PM Modi would not tell this, because he only works to spread lies through speeches, he further said.
