While India’s military tension with Pakistan is increasing with a rapid pace on one hand, India’s biggest strategic partner America’s attitude seems to be neutral. America condemned the Pahalgam attack but has insisted on starting direct talks between the two countries.
Pakistan has been continuously firing on Indian border since Wednesday night (May 07,2025). Pakistani drones were sighted in Jammu, Samba, Pathankot and Jaisalmer on Friday evening also. The Indian Army shot down these drones in air. A complete blackout was imposed in the areas of Jammu while air raid sirens continued to haunt the atmosphere. Along with this, a blackout was also imposed in Jaisalmer, Barmer and Sriganganagar of Rajasthan.
Pakistani drones at 26 places
From Baramulla in the north to Bhuj in the south, Pakistani drones were seen at 26 places on the international border and the Line of Control with Pakistan. These include suspected armed drones posing a potential threat to civilian and military targets including Baramulla, Srinagar, Awantipora, Nagrota, Jammu, Ferozepur, Pathankot, Fazilka, Lalgarh Jatta, Jaisalmer, Barmer, Bhuj, Kuarbet and Lakhi Nala.
4 drones shot down by anti-drone system
In Fazilka, 4 minutes after the blackout at exactly 9 pm on Friday night (may 09, 2025), a series of loud sounds were heard in the sky along with bright lights. The sound was so intense that its echo was clearly felt in many villages.
Complete blackout in Jammu and Srinagar
Pakistani drones were seen in Jammu, Samba and Pathankot sectors. A complete blackout has been imposed in Jammu and the sound of sirens can be heard.
Sounds of explosions in Samba
Sounds of explosions were also heard in Samba as India’s air defense intercepted Pakistani drones during the blackout. A complete blackout has also been imposed in Udhampur in Jammu division as air raid sirens continued to keep the residents on alert mode.
Drone falls on a house in Ferozepur, three injured
A drone dropped in Ferozepur due to which a house caught fire. Three people were sustained burn injuries in the fire as a car parked nearby caught fire. The injured people Lakhwinder Singh, his wife and son have been admitted to a private hospital.
Drone attacks at 20 places in Jammu, Punjab and Rajasthan
Pakistan also carried out drone attacks at many places in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Rajasthan. The air defense system shot down Pakistan’s drone in the air.
Complete blackout in Kashmir Valley
Drone attack was also witnessed in Kashmir Valley. A drone was shot down in Avantipora in South Kashmir as complete blackout was imposed in Kashmir Valley on Friday night. The army is on high alert.
Blasts are taking place where I am: Omar Abdullah
Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said in a post that the sound of blasts can be heard from where I reside. Sounds of cannons can also be heard.
Blackout in 24 border villages in Banaskantha, Gujarat
Gujarat’s Banaskantha district magistrate Mihir Patel said late Friday night that a blackout had been imposed in 24 border villages of the district. All citizens have been asked to stay away from rumors and follow the instructions of the administration.
People living near LoC moved to bunkers
After heavy shelling by Pakistani troops, thousands of people living near LoC in three border districts of Kashmir have been moved to bunkers and other safe places.
Blasts heard in Pokhran, Rajasthan
Blasts have also been heard in Pokhran, Rajasthan. Red alert has been declared in the entire Sriganganagar district.
Blasts near Kartarpur Corridor
Blasts have also taken place near Kartarpur Corridor in Gurdaspur and in Tibri Cantt Gurdaspur.
Pakistan fired more than 15 missiles in Nagrota
More than 15 missiles were fired in Nagrota, Jammu and Kashmir. The missiles have been destroyed in the air by the Indian Army in Barota.
