73% Dalit-Backward-Tribals should change picture of India, X-ray of caste census necessary: Rahul Gandhi

On arrival in Prayagraj with the ongoing Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra, former Congress president Rahul Gandhi lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for unchecked poverty, unemployment and question paper leak. He said that 73 percent Dalits, backward classes and tribals should join hands to change the picture of the country. He said that an X-ray of caste census would reveal who has how much money.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who reached Sangam city leading the Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra, on Sunday evening accused giving preference to film stars by ignoring Dalits, backward classes and tribals during the ‘pran prathishta’ in Ayodhya.

Gandhi described X-ray of caste census as weapon of the poor and country. He also called upon the 73 percent population of Dalits, backward classes and tribals to unite for change, describing it as their biggest strength.

The Congress leader shared his plight with the youth and unemployed at Lakshmi Talkies intersection. He said that caste census was a big weapon in their hands. He appealed to them to assess their population and also find out what was their share in country’s wealth as not one of the top 200 companies was owned by a backward class member.

He appealed to the visibly agitated youths to rise up to the occasion an show the strength of OBC-Dalit and Tribal community. In this journey on an open jeep, state president Ajay Rai, former state president Ajay Kumar Lallu and former MLA Anugrah Narayan Singh accompanied Rahul Gandhi.

Rahul asks competitive exam aspirant – Which class do you belong to ?

During the public gathering, Rahul called a student from amongst the crowd and asked as to which class he belonged to to which the youth replied that he belonged to OBC category. On this, Rahul Gandhi said that OBC class in the country is 50 percent while the Dalit community owed 15 percent of the total population shared which the tribal class was eight percent. He said that despite such immense strength, not even one of the top 200 companies in India was not owned by an OBC or Dalit. The MP from Waynad, Kerala said that only three people were from their category in the list of 90 top IAS officers of the country while not a single member of the twio combine was in the media.

During the public meeting at Laxmi Talkies crossing in Katra area of Prayagraj located near the prestigious Allahabad University, many students stood holding placards mentioning RO/ARO exam paper leak. On this Rahul Gandhi said, leaking of question paper was a way to stop members of OBC-Dalit-Tribal community from moving forward.

Lashes out at Adani-Ambani

The Congress MP also targeted the Central government regarding waiver of loans of the country’s top industrialists Gautam Adani and Mukesh Ambani. He said such people (BJP) never waived the loans of farmers but, they waived off the loan of Rs 14 lakh crore of 10-15 industrialists. Ambani, Adani ask for bank loans worth lakhs of crores of rupees and they get it within seconds, but if anyone else sought an education loan, al that he or she got was getting chased away from the bank.
