A missile attack by Houthi rebels on Yemen’s presidential palace, Al-Ma’ashiq Palace in Aden, left at least four people dead and several security personnel killed or injured, according to government officials. Multiple explosions were reported across the city as ballistic missiles allegedly struck the complex, though official confirmation on the type of weapons used is still awaited.

Yemen’s Cabinet said the attack occurred while the Prime Minister and several ministers were present at the palace. Two government officials told Reuters that all senior government leaders escaped unharmed.

Condemning the strike, the Cabinet described it as part of an escalating Houthi campaign that has also targeted civilian areas in Taiz and Lahij, as well as locations in Saudi Arabia. The government warned that such attacks pose a growing threat to regional stability.

In response, Yemeni government forces intensified their military operations against Houthi positions. Military spokesperson Majid Al-Nujaili said the ongoing “Dawn of Yemen” offensive launched around 1,250 strikes over the past 24 hours using fighter jets, drones, artillery and rocket systems. According to the military, around 150 Houthi vehicles were destroyed and nearly 700 fighters were killed based on preliminary battlefield assessments.

Saudi-led coalition spokesperson Turki al-Maliki said coalition forces have destroyed 127 Houthi weapons depots and missile launchers during the conflict. Coalition operations against Houthi targets are continuing, with officials accusing the group of repeatedly attacking civilian infrastructure.

Meanwhile, the Houthis issued a fresh warning claiming that Saudi Arabian airspace and airports are no longer safe.

Amid rising security concerns, the Indian Embassy in Riyadh issued an advisory urging Indian citizens in Saudi Arabia to remain indoors during aerial attacks, avoid photographing or recording such incidents, refrain from sharing related content on social media and stay in touch with the embassy for updates.
