As Pakistan’s drone attacks on India continued for the third consecutive day on Friday (May 09, 2025), with several attempted strikes foiled by Indian defence forces, The Airports Authority of India issued Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs) announcing the temporary suspension of civil flight operations at 32 airports across northern and western India.
This suspension will be in effect from May 09, 2025, until 5:29 am on May 15, 2025, citing operational reasons.
All civil flight operations at these airports will remain suspended during this period. The affected airports include Adampur, Ambala, Amritsar, Awantipur, Bathinda, Bhuj, Bikaner, Chandigarh, Gaggal (Kangra), Halwara, Hindon, Hirasar (Rajkot), Jaisalmer, Jammu, Jamnagar, Jodhpur, Kandla, Keshod, Kishangarh, Kullu-Manali (Bhuntar), Leh, Ludhiana, Mundra, Naliya, Pathankot, Patiala, Porbandar, Sarsawa, Shimla, Srinagar, Thoise and Uttarlai.
On Friday, Pakistan appeared to specifically target key military installations. All attempted attacks were unsuccessful, as Indian security forces swiftly responded and neutralised the threats.
