Finally, the CIC has ordered the MEA for providing details of regarding extent of Indian land ceded to China, till now kept under wraps by the Central government. The order came in an RTI filed by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Dr Subramanian Swamy seeking details of the same. Reports revealed, the MEA has been directed to provide the same by third week of August.
Dr Swamy had in his RTI application, sought information on the extent of India’s sovereign land acquired by China in 1996 through mutually agreed upon line of actual control; the extent of land ceded to China since 2014; extent of land lost due to buffer zone/ no man’s land; on what agreement or otherwise India had ceded the Aksai Chin region to China; and some other aspects of this raging issue.
Meanwhile, taking to social media platform, the veteran politician posted on X calling Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a coward. He lashed out at PM Modi for being a coward when China grabbed over 4000 square kilometer of land in undisputed Ladhakh region. He also blamed Modi for not acting tough when Muslim leaders in Maldives had asked Indians to get out of the island besides failed to act appropriately when Muslims kicked out Bangladesh Lady PM.
Swamy’s post on X dated August 6, 2024 reads “Modi was a coward when China grabbed 4067 sq kms of India’s undisputed Ladakh territory. He wobbled when Maldives Muslim leaders said to Indians to get out of the island. Now Modi is shivering while the Muslims kicked out Bangladesh Lady PM. Don’t ask on Nepal. Ask Modi to quit.”
Lauding the efforts of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi for ensuring creation of a separate country to save east Pakistanis besides standing for Hindu brotherhood, Swamy flays PM Modi for his glaring cowardice who could not save cows here nor the Hindus there which was not in tune with the Vishwaguru image.
Venting his ire against the faulty stand of PM Modi, Swamy’s post on X further states “Indira Gandhi created separate country to save east Pakistanis and stood for Hindu brotherhood there! Glaring cowardice with narendra modi now ! so much for vishwaguru build up. Couldn’t save cows here nor Hindus there and being Hijda but our boasting !!”
