His intent on X handle is loud and clear ‘I give as good as I get’. Leaving nothing to chance, the six term Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP and former cabinet minister Dr Subramanian Swamy has been giving sleepless nights to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other party top brass in Union government.

In his latest posts, he questions the purpose and rationale behind Modi government not accepting the Chinese invasion truth and also opposing him in court on getting the true picture of China’s recent occupation in Ladakh, if all was well.

Referring to the Chinese encroachment on Indian territory issue, the post of president of Virat Hindustan Sangam and former Professor of Economics on X on July 30, raises an accusing finger on Modi government. “Modi has surrendered to China judging by his prostrating before Chinese Army which are crossing on a newly built on Pangon Lake leading to the airfield in Chushul. Ladakh is almost strategically occupied while our koi aaya nahin pathetic leader Modi wails. Sad for all of us.”

Dr Swamy’s another post on July 28 states, “Why is Modi’s govt opposing me in Court to prevent my getting the truth of China’s recent occupation of 4064 sq kms in undisputed Ladakh? The people have a right to know. Congress is not raising the matter because Gandhis have a deal with China. Is Modi in the deal?”

Similarly, in an earlier post on X dated July 16, 2024, the BJP veteran had mentioned, “Our Defence Minister and a decent man, Rajnath says that he is sad that so many army jawans have been killed. Then, what will he do? Has Modi told him “koi bahar se aaya nahin aur koi yanha marra nahin”. Attahe (therefore)? Vishram?”

Also, on the same day in another post, taking a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Swamy stated that the PM would be remembered for the buildings with his name on their foundation stones besides for his surrender in Ladakh to China also.

“Modi will be remembered for the buildings with his foundation stone name inscription. Much like Mohammed Bin Thuglak and the British Imperialists in India- which are used but they forgotten. But he will be remembered for his surrender in Ladakh to China though.”

In November 2022, Dr Subramanian Swamy had sought information from Home ministry under Right To Information (RTI) Act about the extent to which “sovereign land had been acquired by People’s Republic of China, across 1996 mutually agreed upon Line of Actual Control”.

According to the petition, his RTI also sought to know how much of Indian “sovereign land had been lost due to further creation of buffer zones or ‘no man’s land’ since 2014”, the number of times there has been Chinese military incursions on Indian territory across the mutually agreed upon Line of Actual Control (LAC) since 1996 besides under what agreement or otherwise India had ceded the Aksai Chin region to China.

Dr Swamy had approached the Delhi High Court on October 9, 2023 over alleged failure of authorities over his application seeking details of ‘Chinese encroachment on Indian territory’.

He had also lashed out at PM Modi and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on July 16, over the terrorist attack in Doda, J&K which claimed lives of five army personnel.
