The data also highlights concerns over compliance with tenant verification norms. During the same period, 103 foreign nationals were found living in rented accommodation without mandatory police verification by their landlords. Delhi Police has so far taken action against 63 landlords for violating tenant verification requirements. Police said verification of tenants, including foreign nationals, is carried out regularly as part of security and law enforcement measures in the capital.
The figures reveal substantial narcotics seizures from foreign nationals over the three-year period.
In 2024, Delhi Police arrested 40 foreign nationals and seized narcotic substances valued at Rs 12.75 crore. The recovery included 1,100.34 grams of heroin, 2.44 kg of amphetamine, 55.9 grams of cocaine, 339 grams of charas and 52.88 grams of MDMA.
In 2025, 35 foreign nationals were arrested and drugs worth Rs 14.27 crore were recovered. The seized substances included 269 grams of heroin, 409.19 grams of amphetamine, 1,432.86 grams of cocaine, 379 grams of MDMA, 7.276 kg of ganja, 709 grams of methamphetamine, 374.53 grams of ecstasy, 50.81 grams of smack, 100 suspected tablets and 250 ml of a suspected liquid substance.
In 2026, up to June 30, police arrested 15 foreign nationals and seized narcotics worth Rs 13.50 crore. The recovery included 330.68 grams of heroin, 162.1 grams of amphetamine, 1,214.68 grams of cocaine and 136.16 grams of MDMA.
The figures underscore Delhi Police’s continued crackdown on international drug trafficking networks operating in the city, with significant seizures of cocaine, heroin, amphetamine and synthetic drugs recorded over the last two and a half years.
